Inspiration for women in business

EMPOWERED: Local business woman Ngahuia Trewartha's 'creative space' at Mana Wellbring Centre has been featured by the Samantha Wills Foundation.

LOCAL businesswoman Ngahuia Trewartha from Mana Wellbeing Centre has been featured as an empowered woman in business with the Samantha Wills Foundation.

Established by Australian jewellery designed Samantha Wills, the foundation aims to inform and inspire women in business and give them a forum to share ideas and experiences.

Inspired by her “courageous business savvy”, Ms Trewartha has contributed to Samantha Wills Foundation posts since the foundation was launched and when the call went out to share images of “creative spaces” she sent in some of the Mana Wellbeing Centre, which was selected to feature on the foundation’s website.

She said she was proud to be contributing inspiration for empowered women in business and humbled by Ms Wills’ supportive words. 

“The support and encouragement received locally and internationally has been incredible,” Ms Trewartha said.

“Having worked in five-star resorts and my foundations preparing sacred spaces with my nan, I had an idea what kind of feeling and tone I wanted to offer clients to experience.”

She said in the business of spiritual guidance and wellbeing, it was important to have a “polished, professional and inspirational” space.

“Mana Wellbeing Centre is all about creating beautiful and sacred spaces for people to come and receive support for wellbeing and map out lifestyle balance.”

Her own lifestyle balance is helped by a supportive family and close friends who she consciously makes time for, combined with a business where her “spirit thrives” and she is continuously inspired.

“It truly is an art to balance business, family, intimate relationships and self-care.

“However thankfully being a woman, conversations for support are readily available when I reach out for guidance.”

Ms Trewartha said as a businesswoman she was constantly learning, especially with the way business was evolving and connecting with social media.

She encouraged anyone starting out in a business to trust their intuition.

“Be prepared to work on all the pillars of your business foundations and be prepared to put in the hours.”

She said over the past 16 years in business she had learnt how important it was to have a vision statement to guide business decisions and balancing the logistics of business had been a huge learning curve.

On her website Ms Wills said she had “huge respect and admiration for the work Ngahuia and her team do”.
